Junior Year Timeline
Fall

Consider taking honors courses for the fall semester (Math, Sciences, and Humanities). You can take as many or as few honors courses as you feel comfortable with.

Work hard to earn As and Bs in your courses.

Attend College Information Night for Juniors (Date TBD)

Log in to SCOIR to research colleges and sign up for college representative visits to our campus

Find/continue your extracurricular activities. Work to earn leadership positions if possible.

Begin studying for the SAT/ACT

Register for the March/April SAT/ACT with essay (if you're ready and check CollegeBoard.org/ACT.org for COVID 19 updates on test cancellations).

Search for internship opportunities. Check in with your advisor if you have ideas you'd like to discuss.
Winter

Study for the upcoming SAT/ACT.

Stay involved and spend more time with extracurricular activities during the break.

Continue your search for the perfect internship!
Spring

Take part in the San Francisco Bay Area College Trip with the entire junior class!

Secure your internship for the May internship period.

Complete the College Advising Survey and schedule a meeting with Rah-Ben and Michelle

Log in to SCOIR to create/update your list of colleges.

If you plan on applying to private colleges, consider which teachers you would ask for letters of recommendation.
